Why Choose Zweck's PopcornBarn.com for Custom Tins and Gourmet Popcorn? A note from our owner, Charles A. Zweck: My Company, Heart-Zweck or H-Z Theatres LLC, started out operating the Heart Theatre in Effingham, IL. We sold Gourmet popcorn at the theatre. One night, it came to me, “this gorgeous old art deco theatre, would look great all lit up at night in watercolor on a gold tin.” That first custom tin design is still available. When people saw it, they wanted it, or others like it. I did custom designs, like a snow scene with logo for a local bank, a logo tin with a picture of an investment company’s building, and Christmas tins with logo lids for a regional marketing company. Originally, there were only 3.5 gallon gold tins, now standard designs come in 3.5, 2 or 1 gallon tins in white or gold and you can get custom tins just the way you want, in pretty much whatever size or style you want. When the theatre couldn’t compete with the mall chain theatre, the Heart closed but Heart Theatre GourmetTM Popcorn and Caramel YummyCornTM lived on – Zweck's PopcornBarn.com was born, and now features Kountry Kettle KornTMToday, I say “I can put just about anything on a tin for you that you own the rights to.” Hometown Heirloom TreasuresTM Collection has tins depicting the Transfer House, in Decatur, a Sights of Mt. Zion Tin with the welcome sign and water tower, the Gateway Arch and Riverfront in St. Louis, and adding designs like the Lincoln Collage: A 200 Year Tribute, squares, fountains, and local landmarks all over the Midwest. Zweck’s tins are also going to be featured in the April 2009 issue of the world renowned The Decorative Painter, published by the Society of Decorative Painters, as both a source of surfaces for painting, and a means of publicizing, selling, and licensing artwork to be put on tins. I work with local artists and soon those far away to make their designs come to fruition. For the individual, you can have a tin customized with a message commemorating a special event (Save-The-Date, bridal party, wedding, anniversary, engagement, deployment, tour-of-duty, welcome home, etc.) or have a custom tin designed from a photo. They make perfect gifts for many occasions. For businesses, Zweck’s offers a unique marketing opportunity. You can have your message (name, logo, slogan, phone, etc.) put on the lid of any of our tin designs, or you can have your custom design made into a tin. Whether you have an in-house graphics department, or not, no job is too big or small. Possible tin designs include: group, team or facility photos, commemorations of special events, etc. For organizations, this is a very unique fundraising opportunity. Your organization can participate is as many of the steps of the process as they like. You can not only have contests for winning tin designs among your members, and sell and deliver tins, but if you are a hands-on organization that wants a fun fellowship activity and some extra money, you can fill the tins. You can order your tins filled with gourmet popcorn, or all the popcorn and supplies can be delivered to your location and you can have a Fill-The-Tins Party.
